PLC 1756-L82E/B 5580 Ethernet Controller

1756-L82E/B is a 5580 programmable controller for chassis-based machine and process automation. It provides 5 MB of user memory and embedded Ethernet, and it must be matched to the project, chassis, firmware and supported engineering-software environment.

1756-L82E/B provides 5 MB of user memory and one embedded 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet port. These resources define controller capacity, but actual application performance also depends on task loading, communications, firmware and the configured I/O architecture.

1756-L82E/B supports up to 175 Ethernet nodes when used with a supported engineering-software version. The practical network design must still account for connection usage, requested packet intervals, topology, network traffic and the communication requirements of every device.

1756-L82E/B supports integrated motion for up to 256 axes within the documented configuration limits. Compatibility is not confirmed by axis count alone; drive type, firmware, network timing, project configuration and supported engineering-software versions must also be verified.

The USB 2.0 Type B port on 1756-L82E/B is intended for local programming and maintenance access. It is not a field-device network interface, so production communications should use the controller’s supported Ethernet architecture and the application’s validated network configuration.
