The NPBA-12 PROFIBUS Adapter Module is an optional device for ABB drives which enables the connection of the drive to a PROFIBUS system. The drive is considered as a slave in the PROFIBUS network.

Communication Profiles: Supports both the standard ABB Drives Profile and the CSA 2.8/3.0 Profile for compatibility with specific drive software versions (e.g., ACS 600 SingleDrive).
Data Transfer: Supports cyclic communication via PPO (Parameter/Process Data Object) types 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Automatic Baud Rate Detection: Detects network speeds from 9.6 kbit/s up to 12 Mbit/s.
Optical Isolation: Connects to the drive via a fiber optic DDCS (Distributed Drives Communication System) link, ensuring galvanic isolation and noise immunity.
