The KFD2-SOT3-EX1.LB is a galvanically isolated barrier designed for the transfer of digital signals from a hazardous area to a safe area. It accepts inputs from NAMUR sensors or dry mechanical contacts and provides two independent, passive transistor outputs.

This unit distinguishes itself with configurable output logic, allowing the second output channel to function either as a redundant signal splitter or as a dedicated fault indication output. A: This is the Maximum Safe Voltage that can be applied to the non-hazardous area side (power supply terminals) without compromising the intrinsic safety protection. It is not the operating voltage (which is 19-30 V DC). It indicates the module's robustness against mains voltage transients.
