The PLC 1785-L40B is a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) component. This product is a Controller that belongs to the PLC5 product family. It is mounted to a PLC5 chassis such as 1771-A1B, 1771-A2B, 1771-A3B, 1771-A3B1, and 1771-A4B.
This controller is ideally used for medium to large automation application as it is built with a 48KWords user memory capable of handling any combination of I/O devices with total count of 2048 points or 2048 input and 2048 output devices for complementary configuration. With the increased I/O capacity, this controller can also handle up to 29 PLC 5 racks, composed of 1 local rack and 28 Remote I/O rack. The local rack refers to the rack where the controller is installed.
