The Allen-Bradley MPL-B420P-MJ74AA is an MP-Series low-inertia, standard brushless AC synchronous rotary servo motor manufactured by Rockwell Automation. It has a rated speed of 5000 RPM, a voltage class of 400V, and an armature voltage of 460V. The magnet stack length of this motor is 2 inches and its frame size is 115 mm, with the magnets used on the MPL-B420P-MJ74AA motor of a high-energy rare-earth type. This motor also features a multi-turn, 1024 sin/cos, absolute encoder feedback and a 24V DC brake. Note that the electromechanical design of the encoder does not require a battery. Standard factory options are available with the MPL-B420P-MJ74AA motor and its connectors are circular SpeedTec DIN connectors that are 180o rotatable and with a right angle. It uses an IEC metric, Type FF free mounting holes mounting flange and has a keyed shaft extension enclosure. The continuous stall torque of the MPL-B420P-MJ74AA motor is 4.74 Nm or 42 lb-in and its peak stall torque is 13.5 Nm or 120 lb-in. It also has a motor rated output of 1.9 kW and a speed at a motor rated output of 5000 RPM. MP-Series motors, such as the MPL-B420P-MJ74AA motor, feature a low rotor inertia, Smart Motor Technology, and a high torque-to-size ratio. They primarily deliver a significantly higher torque while featuring a reduced motor size, as required especially by high-performance motion systems. These motors are ideal for applications like metal forming, packaging, material handling, automotive, converting, and electronic assembly.
