The 2771P-K4M20A is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device that is part of Allen-Bradley’s Visualization components. This device is designed for use in a wide variety of applications, enabling real-time monitoring and control of machines or processes. It is typically paired with a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Programmable Automation Controller (PAC), especially compatible with Allen-Bradley products however, may also be used with 3rd party controllers. The 2771P-K4M20A has a 3.5-inch grayscale display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and a viewing area of 77 x 58 mm (3.0 x 2.3 in.). The available operator interface to this HMI is an assembly of keypad buttons that is comprised of function keys, navigation, numeric, and confirmation buttons. Only the functions keys of the 2771P-K4M20A are fully-programmable and may accept varying assignments in reference to the active window for operational flexibility. This HMI has a total of Eight (8) Function keys. The embedded communication ports to the 2771P-K4M20A are Ethernet and RS232 interfaces. The Ethernet interface is used for networked communication, utilizing TCP I/P protocol, supporting a transmission rate of 10/100 Mbps. It can be used for longer communication distances, able to reach up to 100 meters per segment. The RS232 is used for point-to-point, short-distance communication with a maximum of 15 meters It is especially compatible for within the panel communication. Aside from the communication interface, the peripheral port interface available to this HMI device are Two (2) USB ports wherein Keyboards and mice can be attached for an alternative means of interacting with the device. These USB ports also support attaching of USB printers and removable flash drives.
