Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 20-COMM-D is a DeviceNet communication adapter. This adapter enables DeviceNet connectivity that is compatible with a wide range of adjustable frequency AC drives and devices. Specifically, it is compatible for use with PowerFlex class 700 drives such as PowerFlex 70, PowerFlex 700, PowerFlex 700H, PowerFlex 700S, PowerFlex 700L, PowerFlex 750 as well as PowerFlex Digital AC Drives, DPI external communication kits, SMC Flex and SMC-50 smart motor controllers.

This drive mounts to the available adapter slot and must be installed only without power. It is a electrostatic sensitive device thus, installation must be carried out properly by implementing electrostatic safety precautions. Primarily, avoid touching the electronic circuitry, wear electrostatic wirstbands, properly ground the workstation and working surfaces.

This communication adapter has Three (3) LED status indicators , 20-pin DSI connector, 5-pin DeviceNet connector, Node address selector and data rate switch. Supported DeviceNet data rates bu this adapter includes 125K, 250K, 500K as well as Autobaud selection. It support up to 30 TCP connections which may be composed of 16 simultaneous CIP messaging connections including 1 exclusive-owner I/O connection with a request Packet Interval (RPI) rating of 5 ms and Packet rate of Up to 400 total I/O packets per second (200 in and 200 out).
