The Allen-Bradley 1785-L40E Series E Ethernet PLC-5 controller can withstand an operating shock of up to 30 G and up to 1 G of operating vibration. Some of the certifications that the 1785-L40E Series E controller has received include the CSA, C-TICK, CE, and UL standards. This controller can function without derating in a temperature range of 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. It is protected by an open enclosure that covers its most essential parts but which is not waterproof and which cannot protect the controller against corrosion and high quantities of debris. The 1785-L40E Series E controller can address its I/O in 3 different setups which are the ½ slot, 1 slot, and 2 slot I/O setups. The Allen-Bradley 1785-l40E Series E PLC-5 controller that can accommodate a variety of files in a variety of sizes. It can store up to 2000 words of binary/bit data, integer data, ASCII data, and BCD data 6000 words or 2000 structures of timer, counter, and control data. The 1785-l40E also supports as many as 2000 program files. This storage capacity lets the 1785-l40E accommodate more SFC steps or transition files in a program, and SFC files are smaller than most files, which gives the 1785-l40E almost double the usual storage capacity for SFC files.
