The 1784-PM16SE Card is an Allen-Bradley SoftLogix PCI Card that is made for the SERCOS Interface. The unit is a 16-axis SERCOS interface module. This 16-axis SERCOS interface module serves as a critical link between the SoftLogix platform and the intelligent drives. The communication link between the SoftLogix platform and the 1784-PM16SE Card in the intelligent drives is the IEC 1491 Serial Real-time Communication System. The 1784-PM16SE Card features a chassis monitor that enables the users to achieve the creation, deletion, monitoring, and configuring of the controllers. The chassis monitor is important for enabling the communication interface cards like the ControlNet and the DeviceNet cards to be installed in the SoftLogix virtual chassis. The 1784-PM16SE Card features the SoftLogix5860 controller that comes with a high-speed motion task. The high-speed motion task is important for executing the ladder motion commands and for generating position and velocity profile information.
