Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 1756-L73 is a ControlLogix processor module that is part of the Logix 5570 product category. This is a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) that is compatible for use in controlling large applications in the factory or process automation applications. It supports simplex configuration and high-availability (redundant) controller configuration for increased system availability.

The 1756-L73 is capable of interfacing 128,000 input and output signals as well as 4000 analog Input and output signals. It can be implement local I/O configuration where I/O modules are installed within the same chassis where the controller is installed or distributed I/O topology where expansion I/Os are installed remote from the processor and provides I/O through the extended communication bus. This controller supports Ethernet I/P, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Synchlink, as well legacy communication protocols such as Data Highway Plus (DH+), Remote I/O (RIO) and 3rd party protocols. It may also be configured to communicate with gateways and protocol converters. Similarly, this controller is compatible with any Allen-Bradley encompass partner ControlLogix modules.
