The 1336-PB-SP23A board is a precharge board spare kit from Allen-Bradley. The 1336-PB-SP23A board is obsolete and it was replaced with the 1336-PB-SP23D board. The 1336-PB-SP23A board is suitable for AC drives which have input ratings of 460 Volts AC and output ratings of 60 to 600 Horsepower from the Allen-Bradley 1336 FORCE, PLUS, IMPACT, and  PLUS II product lines. Compatible frames include Frame D (60, 75, 100, 125 and X150 Horsepower), Frame E (150, 200 and 250 Horsepower), Frame F (250, 300, 350, 40 0and 450 Horsepower), and Frame G (X250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 600 and 650 Horsepower). One 1336-PB-SP23A board kit is required per 1336 AC drive.

The output power ratings supported by Allen-Bradley drives compatible with the 1336-PB-SP23A board are 0.5 to 600 Horsepower for the 1336 PLUS drives, 1 to 650 Horsepower for the 1336 FORCE drives, 0.5 to 600 Horsepower for the 1336 PLUS II drives, and 0.5 to 800 Horsepower for the 1336 IMPACT drives. The precharge of the AC drive has different circuits depending on the drive size. For drives with Horsepower ratings that exceed 40 Horsepower, the precharge begins at the SCR phase and completes the precharge when the drive bus is stable. A complete precharge is achieved when the following conditions are met: a stable bus voltage for more than 300 milliseconds, bus voltage in excess of the value configured for the “undervoltage setpoint,” and valid control status from the precharge board such as the 1336-PB-SP23A board. The presence of ESD-sensitive components on the 1336-PB-SP23A drive necessitates the implementation of all recommended ESD precautions to prevent damage to the drive and injury to the users.
