1. What is the 3300 Ceramic Capped Probe used for?
It is designed for machinery monitoring in aggressive chemical or high-pressure environments, such as applications involving anhydrous ammonia or other extreme pH conditions. The alumina ceramic cap provides excellent corrosion resistance.
2. Is this probe compatible with the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor?
Yes. The 3300 Ceramic Capped Probe is compatible with the 3300 Proximitor Sensor and 3300 extension cable. However, note that the linear range is shifted compared to standard 3300 XL probes – extra care is required when configuring the monitor.
3. What is the pressure rating of this probe?
The 146054 probe is rated to 34 Bar (500 psi) nitrogen for the front-end seal. Modifications are available for higher-pressure applications. Contact Bently Nevada custom design department for pressure seal testing.
